After the convention

Congratulations! You have survived the con!

Sadly all good things come to an end, including the convention. The exhaustion from the fun, partying, hangovers and walking may be catching up with you at this point and you may be dealing with the challenges of adapting to normality again. The withdrawal is not fun! You may be in the office with your coworkers and all you want to do is spin on your spinny chair spinning with glowsticks for spinny glowwy goodness while listening to Andrew WK.

Catch up with sleep and food!
This is a must if you have been neglecting these over the weekend but even if you have been watching over your health you may still need to be on the road to recovery. You might sleep for longer periods at a time and you may want to consider having home cooked meals.

You might be unlucky enough to catch the con-flu!

Check through your photos
You might have taken hundreds of photographs and it would be a waste to just leave them on your computer. A lot of people would wish to walk down memory lane and spend hours and hours sourcing blogs and galleries. If you are more ambitious you might want to do some little touching up and watermarking.

...and video too!
Be sure to make a music video of you and your friends and post it on Youtube!

Store mementos safely
You conbooks and badges will be irreplaceable once you lose them so make sure to take good care of them. If you have posters, decorate your room with them and find somewhere awesome to display you new Gundam model!

Geek out!
Take this time to try out a new aspect in your hobby. If you have been taught some new make-up techniques at a panel, give it a try yourself or look into LEDs if your past costumes are decent so your next will be jaw-droppingly epic. Maybe that trip to Japan you always wanted is easier to get to than you thought so get planning planning planning!

Maybe you want to try something completely new for a change of pace. Check you bellydancing, martial arts or even fencing.

Just before and straight after often has the most forum activity
Use this time to thank the organisers, track down people you have met, review the event to help the organisers/panellists make the next event an even better one. They are an ideal place to post photos and video footage as a lot of people would want to see them!

Watch your wallet!
You may have overspent so take your time to compensate for any missing money before doing much unnecessary spending.

Start preparing for next convention!
And start your journey from the beginning! You can never be too early!
